What is Electrostatic Painting?

When we tell people the name of our business the most often asked question is.. What exactly is Electrostatic Painting?

Electrostatic painting is a  process that uses charged particles to more efficiently paint a metal item. The paint, in the form of  atomized liquid, is initially projected towards a grounded metal item and is then attracted toward that item by an electrostatic charge.

Why do we use this type of equipment and process?

It is incredibly efficient, using 95% of applied paint due to reduced over-spray and better wrap-around. It literally hugs the metal that we are spraying. There is a reduced use of material, due to that efficent application……..Pulling the paint to the surface like a “Magnet to Metal.”

If you’ve ever tried to spray paint your own lawn furniture you know how much of the paint ends up everywhere BUT where you want it. Electrostatic painting prevents that outcome.
